hey..
i'm using Win Me and would really like to know what "PC Health" is and how can i control it ??

PC Health as a technical term, is the hardware monitoring. The System and CPU Temperature, the Fans' rpms (Rounds Per Minute) and some other various stuff, depending from the software you're using.
Using such software, you can easily check the above, without opening the chassis any time you like. You can also setup alarms when a device works on its limits.

You can install and run such software, but you must be careful of the settings.
You must specify the chip of your motherboard (for example Winbond) and the proper temperature and rpm settings, you'd like to be notified when reached.

A very good utility is Motherboard Monitor 4.

i couldn't find anything in the help file either. i did find the folder pchealth in the windows directory. there are .xml files which look like logs of drivers loading, etc.I see that in scheduled tasks it runs every ten minutes.

AlienDyne i mean the "PC HEALTH" built into the windows millennium..what is it ?? what does it do ?? and how do i control it ??
it has folders in the win main folder..its drivers load at startup..
anything ??

PC Health in windows ME covers everything from automatic updates to the system restore feature....take a look in technet...the FAQ for pc health isn't up yet though

Sometimes I temporarily rename the windows\inf folder so that the wizard can't see the old inf and needs the one from the cd.
