I have a major problem. I have never had a prblem connecting to the internet before, and I use AOL, Netzero, and Dial-Up to the net. My modem connects to the internet but I cannot view web-pages, log onto AIM, or even napster. It is like Im not connected at all. I am able to connect to AOL but nothing works as if I am really online. I bought a new modem to see if my old modem was no good, but I am still having the samwe problem. I hope someone can help me. Im confused.

Sounds like waol32.dll is corrupted. Try renamimg it, and extract a fresh copy from your cabs files.

Try deleting all network protocols, uninstall dialup networking, and delete the 2 winsock2 keys in the registry, launch aol, it will tell you that it needs to install ras\dun, and restart and after that you should be fine.

Depends on what OS you are running but you can take a look at winsock files, make sure there are no duplicates. If there are, rename the extension to something windows doesn't recognize like "old." You may resort to extract the files if you need to also. winsock and wsock32.dll winsock is in windows and wsock is in windows/system. Maybe use sfc but if 95, its a little bit longer.

I tend to agree with kenteth420 on that also. I have resolved browsing issues from replacing that key before and then un/reinstalling DUN. That should fix it you have reached the end of your rope or make sure there is no firewall enabling you not to browse. Could just be tcp/ip.
