Here's my system specs:
250 Watt ATX power supply and large mid-case
Tyan Trinity 400 S1854 mobo (VIA 694x+596B)
Intel CuMine 667 (running at 150 fsb=750)
128 MB Crucial PC-133 (7.5 ns, 2-2-2 SDRAM (non-ECC)
Guillemot MaxiGamer Xentor 32 (TNT2 Ultra w/ manufacturer's latest driver build 6.35, and updated BIOS to build 2.05.13)
SB Live! Value w/ Liveware 3.0
D-Link DE-528 Ethernet adapter
Generic Conexant PCI 56K modem
VIA 4-in-1 4.29 and USB filter installed
DVD and CD-RW and Zip 100 (all IDE)
Maxtor 20 GB 7200 rpm disk w/ about 15 GB free
Full oem Windoze 98se w/ latest IE 5.0 updates and WMP 7
Here's the problem: When I restart, I get the "Windoze is shutting down" screen and that's it. I have to hit the reset button for it to restart. I let it sit once for half an hour and it did nothing. It shuts down fine, but it won't restart. Any suggestions?

Hi there, you and many others have scratched their heads, but it is easily solved, once you have found the right cause! Here (http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/articles/Q238/0/96.ASP) is the microsoft article about it which has a link to a patch that you may or may not need. Just try each suggestion one at a time so you know what caused it :)
