i'm configuring a system with win98se,

asus cusl2-c
256 sdram pc-133
piii 933eb
sb 256 live!
asus v 7100 pure
cd rom 50x asus
writer hp 8100
quantum as 30go
network card realtek 8139c

my problem is all work fine until i install
the drivers for the printer iT's a canon bjc-4400. Then the system hang when i tried to reboot. when there are no network card that work fine (i tested with a 3com 3c905c-tx). and i tried the microsoft patch for reboot problem. no result. someone can hekp me out..

p.s: i tried all the drivers update too... :mad: :confused:

Are you sure that the Printer drivers are the most updated you can get?

it's the most updated, but with further investigation i found the following: it seem that the problem is between 3 component. software i mean. when the system have a fresh install without the printer driver all work fine. when i remove (physically) the network card all work fine after installing the printer drivers and all work fine with the printer driver the network card until i installed the graphic driver (originaly asus v7100 6.18 driver but i have tested with the detonator drivers from nvidia too)... is this a case of '' ghost in the box''. :confused:

i have finally found my answer, browsing trought the windrivers post, i dont remember who post the topic but thanks, Just by going in msconfig and reactivating the fast shutdown option in advanced option , did the job.
