Take it to a local repair shop and have them run some diagnostic checks on the drive make sure that it is not the drive. Also have them uninstall and reinstall your burning software and maybe update it. Cheers.

Went to the thread, read them but didn't see what version of CD Creator you are using. Go to the net (Adaptec.com )chase up updates for your prog, then try burning again.

as well as trying the updates suggested , can i suggest downloading Clonecd from http://www.elby.org/english/corp/index.htm ,,,this is only a small d/load 11/2 meg in demo mode it copies disk @ 1-2 speed , just put origional in cd-r - when its ready it will say insert blank , and you will get an "exact" copy.
I know that wont help you with wav files , but its a start to check your burner.

option 2 have recently installed sony s/ware on the LG burner , follow this post to the link. http://forums.windrivers.com/cgi-bin/forum3/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=2&t=001633&p=

option 3 the version of nero you had prob dosnt support your drive try www.nero.com for ver 5+ as a trial ,

good luck

Hi

After someone helping me over email, we both agreed it was my CD-RW, so i have ordered a lens cleaner and see what that does.

good luck with the cleaner, BUT why dont you try the clonecd on a cd-rw ? nothing to loose?

if you read and right using the cd-r it will test the ability - by reading first .

if it can,t read then its a goosed cd-r , like i say nothing to loose on a cd-rw have you.

ok , as you have tried 13 different progs, and prob deleted some i would recomend that you d/load this http://www.cdmediaworld.com/hardware/cdrom/cd_utils_5.shtml#ForceASPI as your ASPI layer is gonna be well pissed , when you either clean/replace your burner.

everytime you load a prog it will try and load its own "version" of ASPI and when u delete the prog - it doss,nt nessesarily replace by the origional.

just a thought ,good luck
