where in win95\98 do you change the path for the temp dir? I need to change it from C:\windows\temp to d:\temp but I can't find where it is...looked in regedit, etc

Try messing with this key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\explorer\VolumeCaches\Temporary files In this key, there is a value called "folder" which is set to "c:\windows\temp\". Actually I did end up putting it in the autoexec.bat the way Darren said cuz thats the only way I knew, but I thought there must be a way to do it in windows.........I will give steve's reg thingy a try for the heck of it too.... windrivers.com
