[RESOLVED] Phoenix Bios Upgrade

I have a motherboard OEM by Acer with the
Phoenix Bios Ver 4.04 R1.13. I cannot seem to
find any upgrade to this bios to get pnp or to correct a beep code that says CMOS checksum error. Can anyone help me with this
problem?

this computer is going to Mexico with a friend on Monday and I need to get the modem working and the motherboard fixed.

CMOS checksum invalid messages, or the like, usually refer to a battery going down. You might also try clearing the CMOS with the jumper on the motherboard, if the battery is ok. ACER support for thier computers is a lesson in frustration!
