Have WinNT4.0 and 3.1G HD. Have WD 13G HD installed as D drive and formatted NTFS. I understand to make it a bootable drive there is a size limitation on the partition. Can someone confirm this! Also the programs I have to trsfr all files gives me error msgs and says it must be from MSDOS to work. Trying to copy files within NT works until you get to the NT files that are in use. Then error msgs. Can I boot from floppy with win98/95 and get to the dos prompt and use my copy programs to copy the NT files?

Some info for you.
1. NT can`t read FAT32 on a boot part, but there is a 3rd party driver out there.
2. NT can't have a Boot Part. greater than 4GB.
Hope this is use to you.

I also put this ? under tech to tech and got sev responses. I accomplished this by using the beta ver of ghost from their web site on a bootable win98 floppy disk. Upon exe ghost it gave me a warning that bootable part. could not be larger than 7.8 so I chose 5G. In less than 30 min it had copied over the old 3.1G (all 1 bootable Partition) onto the new bootable 5G partition. NT Disk Admin than was used to set up the rest of the drive 7.4G as the other partition. Works slick and is working great. Check out Ghost!!
