My coworkers & I use MSdraw 1.0 as a tool to support another application. It is not a stand alone application. It must be called by another application (MSWord, etc). We CAN NOT upgrade to any younger version of MSdraw. We must use MSdraw 1.0.
In Windows 3.x and Win95 we "install" MSdraw 1.0 by putting MSdraw 1.0 into a directory like MSapps (but any directory will do), & add the line
[embedding]
MSdraw=Microsoft Drawing, ....
to win.ini. But this does not work for NT40.
Putting the [embedding] statement into win.ini does nothing, although it worked for other Windows operating systems.
In one case we had MSdraw 1.0 in Windows 3.11 and installed NT40 over it. It continued to work fine. Later we upgraded to MSdraw 5.0 which stopped 1.0 from working but 5.0 CAN NOT WORK with the other application.
Is there a way to get MSdraw 1.0 to work with NT40? We can not get the installer or the software for MSdraw 1.0. Must something also be done to the registry in addition to the win.ini edits? Help.
