sppoler stops on print server

Has any one ever have a NT4 SP3 print server stop its spooler service for no reason? For what ever reason our spooler just stops and noone knows about it until someone tries to print and they see that their job is stuck in the queue. We check the services and see that the spooler stopped so we re-start it. This happens periodically.

go with SP4 I had the same problem on a single server and when I upgraded them all it stopped.
