BLACK SCREEN

here's the problem..

i clicked on the link in the follow up to my post. as soon as i clicked on it, windrivers page started to load then i got a blank screen with a blue line approx 1 inch from the top. my machine was locked up! does anyone have a solution on how to fix it or even tell me what is going wrong?

nevermind on the screen. i formatted the hd and put 98se back on here. much better!!

wot sort of machine r u running? type of motherboard, graphics cardm, monitor, types of other peripherals would be nice, so we can try to help you.

wot refresh rate is it? are u using the latest drivers for ure g/card and the latest directx? wot make and version of web browser?

not sure on the refresh rate, but i am using the latest drivers for my graphics card and latest chipset drivers. i am using ie 5.5 with directx 8.0

check the agp aperture size in the bios, we had a 64 meg card with the bios aperture set to 128, when they hit weather.com the screen just went blank.......
