Had a woman bring in her computer and tell us she was having trouble trying to log onto the internet, stating that it was coming up with all sorts of strange errors. Finally get around to looking at it, right click on the dial up connection, click properties and it comes up with this:

Area code: 212 (the area code for Perth is 08)
I am in: Australian Antarctic Territory (672)
To dial an outside line use 12354 for local calls, 12354 for long distance calls (rather strange considering it was a direct connection to the internet).

Now either this modem is confused about it's location or somebody got in and screwed around with it (probably after drinking or smoking something they shouldn't have), either way I don't care because we make $55 for fixing it http://forums.windrivers.com/cgi-bin/forum/wink.gif

I can't get lost, everyone tells me where to go.

Hey, the area code in NYC is 212...and you guys are ahead of us by about 20 hours. Maybe the modem thought it was yesterday? http://forums.windrivers.com/cgi-bin/forum/wink.gif

Either drop the Windows out of your computers, or drop your computers out of the windows.

And Mass. is 413 (Toronto's is 416). I had nightmares about the time I accidentally called 413-555-1212 instead of 416-555-1212. The operator asked which city, and I replied, "North York."
"NEW York?!"
"Huh? No, North York."
"NORTH what? I NEVER HEARD OF THAT!" (slam)
Nice information operators in Mass.
