I have a customer who has had one of our systems for over 3 years now and bought a new one this week. He does real-estate appraisals and has over 3Gb of data on his hd. When I went to copy data from his old system to new, he points to the Tape drive and says, "By the way what is this thing?"...he still has the tape that came with the drive in shrink wrap never opened !!

Okay I do Have To Agree.
You Should Had Told Your Customer What he had. I Own A computer Shop and After I setup the system for them, I sit down and tutor them On everything On there computer..
I ussally Sit down show them the Basics of Windows How to Get on the Internet. E-mail Ect.. Its easier then having your phone rinng all the time with quiestions..

all new customers we sell pc's to receive an hour orientation on how to use the system they purchased, but this customer has a network administrator and he told us he wants to handle all setup on new systems, so he picks new systems up, we never get to install them at this business...although, point well taken, it does make us look bad that he did not know what something was in the system we sold him
