Gateway Laptop

I've got a problem with a Gateway Solo2150 Laptop. It has a HDD Password on it. I've done everything I can think of. I tried a different hard drive. I took the battery off for a week. Obviously it has a CMOS battery in there, but I cant find it, nor can I find any jumper or dipswitch for it.

If anyone has any ideas or maybe a link to a website with some specs on it, your help would be most appreciated.

If you can find it, and it should be on one of the shareware sites like www.download.com, (http://www.download.com,) there is a litte utility called killcmos that will clear the cmos along with any passwords in it.

If you can't find it I may be able to email it to you.

Um the gateways bios password prevents boot.
makes it difficult to use a software program to reset the bios.
need to contact Gateway and have them walk you through the reset procedure for forgotten passwords
