Do you buy ink cartridges made by the printer's manufacturer or from a third party company?

I have an Epson Stylus Color 800. When I use Epson ink cartridges, it works perfect. When I use NuKote ink cartridges, I have problems. If I use the printer every day, it is fine. If I skip a day, I have to run the clean print head function before it will print very well (prints very light until then). I have an especially bad black cartridges right now that I am going to throw away tomorrow. I plan on sharing my problems with somebody at NuKote. Anybody else had similar luck?

You get what you pay for. Try to save a couple bucks, and get something totally inadequate.

If you want low cost black and white printing, get a laser printer. The toner cartridge costs twice or three times as much as an inkjet cartridge, but you get over 10 times as many pages.

Yes, I agree. I have both a black and white laser, and the ink jet for when I want to print in color. I wish I could afford to get rid of both and replace them with a color laser. I am accepting donations . . .
