Looking for recomendations for OCR software- this will be for scannign resumes for use in Word 2002- OS is WinXP Pro.
If anyone uses OCR- please let me know what you suggest for this, and any pros, cons.

I don't personally use OCR much at all, but everytime I see stuff other people I know have scanned it always seems like the sharpest most accurate stuff was done with a version of omni page whether it be pro or lite. When I have used OCR, I've used Omni page as well and have had good luck with it.

I work for a staffing company, and we use OmniPagePro 10. Be aware that NO OCR software can do a good job on faxed resumes, especially ones with lines or dots on them. Even the cleanest resumes can be a pain if they don't use a traditional format. I've even tried Efax then OCR'ing the TIF images with very little success. I don't mean to sound pessimistic, but we finally decided to require folks to give an electric copy, even if we have to let them use the wizard in word at our office....

We/I use Abbyy Fine Reader and it works very well. I'm not as familiar with OmniPage but I'm sure it would do a good job as well.
P.S.....the ABBYY reader above is the link.
