Hello All,
I have been dealing with this the past two weeks..
I am taking old DDS 3 (12/24) tapes from the old NT machine and trying to utilize them in the New Win2K based machine.
None of the tapes where able to be imported.
Some of the tapes are only 2 Months old so the tapes are new.
The problem is - I can backup on the on an NT based machine.
If any of you know about a salvation I will be more than happy to hear your suggestions.

Thanks,
Gabriel

Hi Again,
I have searched through Microsoft Site (Very unpleasent) and I found Article - Q275155.
The Article is About Win2K based machines need a Firmaware update (ON Tape Drive) in order to work properly (Tape Model HP-C1537A).

Your remarks are needed.

Hi Gabriel, go here for <a href="http://www.hp.com/cposupport/information_storage/software/ltt_c1537a_l105.frm.html" target="_blank">DAT24 firmware for Library and TapeTools</a>. It is version L105, dated 05-Sep-2001.

Also, I'm sure you have already tried the Cleaning Cartridge...if not, you might give it a shot.

Good Luck!
