Burner problems

Hello,
I have an AOPEN CR1232 burner...
i have just updated the firmware for it with the .exe file from Aopen's FTP site... It is now updated to v1.22 but alas my burner is ****ed

Nero will not let me burn and 74min CD's anymore cause it constantly says illegal speed for this medium

is there ANYWAY to reverse a firmware?

get another firmware and regorgram

firmware can be reflashed many times..
