I recently purchased a dvd-rom drive from pioneer. It is model 106s. I have been having trouble finding drivers and firmware for it. If anyone knows where I could get them, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time

Try here at Pioneer Electronics (http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/Pioneer/Home/0,1398,,00.html)

the drivers you are looking for are ATAPI307.exe (http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/Pioneer/CDA/ServiceAndSupport/SelfHelpforIndDrivers/0,1466,60~6020~60201000,00.html) and RPC2set.exe (http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/Pioneer/CDA/ServiceAndSupport/SelfHelpforIndUtilities/0,1469,60~6020~60201200,00.html)

Hope this helps,

when you provide a link it's better when the drivers are actually there. otherwise I'm sure MAttB went to that site. not a flame just a usefull tip. I've done it in the past but am trying not to anymore.
