Click start> run>
Type in> regedit
When regedit comes up, click on> edit
Go down to Find and click.
Next to Find what: Type in NOIDE
Click> Find next
If your response is something like> 0000 01
Change the 1 to a 0. Then close regedit and reboot and Windows will find your IDE controller. If your response is all zeros
or it says it has finished searching, that was not the problem.
