Everyone (notably Scott), I've got a great idea...I was just looking at the WinDrivers page and the logo looks a bit stale (no offense or anything heh). So I made a brand new logo for the WinDrivers site! It looks a lot cooler than the one you've got now. I used Lucida Sans Unicode, -13% spacing, 127% scaling for the title, and a cool left side blue background with a picture of a CD-ROM (more drivers come on CDROMs these days than floppies) on it. Yup, i own a dell inspiron 8000.
PIII 700
192MB RAM
20GIG HDD
8x DVD
32MB Video
14.1" TFT Screen (UXGA, 1400x1050, 140dpi)
Holds up great, been running win2k on it for about a month, not crashed ONCE. Even ru ns WinMe alright!
Also one thing that makes the 8000 unique is the fact it runs 3D Accelerated games (Quake III, Unreal Tournament etc....) sweet :D
Also, if anyone has a nokia phone and wants that windrivers.com logo i have, email me or reply to this post, and ill see what i can do!
How about if you lose the blue block behind the cd's. I think that would look a little better. Maybe put some tech looking labels on the cd's. You know, a good ol' Sharpie marker hand written description. One could say "Print Drivers", Another one could say "NIC Drivers", etc.... You get the idea.
Just a suggestion.
BTW, did I mention it looks good? :)
Whoah, Darren, that one is pretty cool too. Is Scott even interested in changing the current logo? Maybe its time for a "New Logo Competition". The winner could get a plug on the main page for a couple days or something. Just a thought. There are a lot of creative people here, it would definitely be fun to watch, maybe people could vote for the winner on the main page.

I like both of them ...
but i also like the old one .. cause it shows how alot of us are .. i dont know bout you all but i do carry cds but i also carry alot of floppys ..
so i vote for all 3 .. they are all good .. i have many new logos .. but they arnt for the main page . i make stuff for the web .. i have a bunch of banners (for linking) and startup screens and wallpaper for windrivers .. i will release these soon .. ive been busy with the avatars and win2k custom screens for people .. however i do have alot ready to release ill do it soon. so keep watch

It's called LogoManager (http://www.logomanager.co.uk) and you will need a FMBus cable to enable you to change it. Saying that I just checked the compatiability and the 5160 is not listed.

Yes, I was thinking of using the new Windows logo style (The new Windows logo used in XP) but I thought it would violate some copyrights.
Personally, I think both Darren's logo and my logo are great alternatives to the one we have now. Darren's has some pretty cool text effects, although a little low on the rest of the graphics. Mine has some nice-looking graphics but isn't nearly as cool as Darren's!
Let's let Scott decide what he wants to do...
EDITED: WHoops, it's got good graphics, that was before I Saw the new one!

Well, Scott, we haven't seen you around, but check out both of these logos here. Darren's new one is a little elaborate but great anyway, mine is not in Flash but is just a much-needed makeover of WinDrivers' font, colors, logo, etc.
