Hi there. I have a problem with HP 8230 (usb). I cant seem to install it on my Toshiba notebook SP4600. It will hang immediately when i try to install the Win2k drivers. I have tried updating the usb as well as the cd-rw drivers.

Go here for new USB drivers:
http://www.hp.com/cposupport/information_storage/software/usbver39.exe.html
Go here for physically installing the hardware:
http://www.hp.com/cgi-bin/cposupport/get_doc.pl?SNI=hpcdwriter22108&LC=information_storage&Tfile=lpg41280
Go here for installing the software...notice the block for Win2000:
http://www.hp.com/cgi-bin/cposupport/get_doc.pl?SNI=hpcdwriter22108&LC=information_storage&Tfile=lpg40312
Let us know how it goes...Good Luck!

Thanks DonJ. But unfortunately I have already done those things. The notebook will hang immediately after installation of the win2k drivers.
The notebook will still hang if reboot unless the cd-rw drive is disconnected. I have to manually remove the usb hub from device manager before it works normally again.
