While adding a number of fans improves cooling, it can increase the drain on the ear. There is a sound proofing product called DYNAMAT, it is used to dampen noise inside cars and is available from most Car audio centres.
It is self adhesive and only maginally increases the case temperature.
Adding rubber washers to the screws holding the fans can also help reduce vibration.
