hello all. i am going to build my 1st tbird computer. i will not get into details the highlites are a 1.2 g t-bird, epox mobo using 256 meg of crucial pc2100 ram. i would like a really nice case, not a best buy or compusa special. i have been looking around the net but with so many choices it is hard to choose. also should i go with a 300w or 350w power supply? i have about $150.00 to spend. thanks http://forums.windrivers.com/cgi-bin/forum1/noncgi/cwmsmilies/cwm1.gif

Songcheer/Samcheer Full Tower £50 (you must be able to get them in the States), add a bigger PSU and it's a gr8 platform for case mods (doesn't cost too much if you f**k up either).

It's supposed to do that... and that... hmmmmm... probably not.

If you are looking into modified case, I could do one for you. Check out this link for what I did with an AT case (yours of course would be an ATX)

If you are interested send me a private message. Thanks!

In the mean time I will post some links for some sites that have good cases.

If you wanna be the cool kid on the block with the cool computer on the block (and who doesn't) go get yourself a good ole Lian Li chassis. They're quite expensive but you could probably find quite a few in your price neighborhood. They're all aluminum which means one big heatsink and it will keep your proc cooler. The aluminum usually easier to mod than the steel too.

Hey Buc! Haven't heard from ya in awhile. There's a place in Tucson off Oracle and Limberlost (SW corner near old MW) that sells the CoolerMaster Aluminum Case for $249.00 but no PS http://forums.windrivers.com/cgi-bin/forum1/noncgi/frown.gif. But if you can wait a few days take Dante's suggestion and look at the BlackIce cases they are great. On Monday I ordered the BlackIce w/450W Dual fans for $199.00, free shipping until today http://forums.windrivers.com/cgi-bin/forum1/noncgi/biggrin.gif. They had a 350W system for $135.00 + free shipping that would fall in your budget.

Good cheap case: Antec SX830/840 (I own the 840)
Medium Priced tall case: Antec SX1230/1240
Expensive, very nice case: Coolermaster ATC-210 (i think that's it)

i LOVE that coolermaster one! Looks like a Sony VAIO on steroids, and unlike the VAIO it's about twice the size and has room to expand, but it's just as stylish http://forums.windrivers.com/cgi-bin/forum1/noncgi/biggrin.gif

thanks all for your replies. i ended up breaking the piggy bank and got the coolermaster case, thanks pak and Jpbtennisman. i bought a 300W supply for it so ended up just short of $275.00. the guy at ultimate computers says it's like a big heatsink, it should be cooler. fierce1 i appreciate your offer. your cases look absolutely awesome. i am on vacation this week and wanted to finish my project. it should be finished tomorrow. if i had time i would have given you a shout. those blackice cases looked good too. but i did not want to wait. http://forums.windrivers.com/cgi-bin/forum1/noncgi/cwmsmilies/cwm1.gif

No prob buccaneerjedi, I know the feeling when you want to get something finished. But the offer is still open to anybody who is looking for modifying a case but doesn't have the time. I am currently working on different designs. Good Luck with your case buccaneerjedi!!
