Okay, for all of you who have been checking this forum and so kindly complimenting my work. I've been "idle" for about 3 days and it's starting to feel funny :D Anyhow, I want to do a new mod but I can't think of anything good right now. So, I'm taking requests. And, if it's something off the wall and I actually do it, I can even write up a guide for it if you want. Let me know.

Unfortunately, I did not elect to take pictures of the procedure at the time the mods were done so a step by step is kind of out of the question. If you have any specific questions feel free to pm me.

You could try to make a case look like Optimus Prime. That would be cool.

hehehe don't give me any ideas :D :D :D
I have started on the 'inside' of my system.

Have made a start on the outside but getting a flat finish after removig the powder coating is a pain. For some reason the paint after the first coat refuses to adhere even after sanding down and just pits the first coat. This is regardless of amount of time left to dry. Going to try a different paint this weekend and wire up my 'basic' baybus to control the fans.

Told you it was a basic baybus (single switch at present). Going to add more once I decide whether to fit a window or not and to get cold cathodes....
Going to fit Heatsinks to the Voltage Regulators as well beings as I have a spare Ramsink left over :D :D
If anyone knows were to get hold of 40m fan grills please could they let me know as I cannot find them anywhere!!!!

The only ones I found were here :( There's an abundance of 80, 92 and 120 mm fan grills and decorative plates available out there, but almost no 40mm.
BTW, you can use "automotive" primer on a lightly sanded case surface to make your further coats of paint stick to the metal.
Sanding it down to the metal might not have been be the best option unless you can use a couple of coats of quality metal primer before applying the paint job.
BTW, what exaclty is in that case? :p

SWEEEEEEEEEET!!! Have to wait until I need some other bits as well, as the postage on the 3 x fan guards is more than what the guards cost!!!!

That's one kicka$$ system!
I like where you're going with this and the paint job looks really good. You're probably prepping this for overclocking, right?
I was also looking for a cool paint scheme for an Intel Celeron box I want to mod and overclock (until I can afford something more). I think you've just started something... with black or ocre highlights maybe...
You don't mind if I call you my Muse, do you Darren? :p

LOL
No it isn't getting ready for overclocking as if I want a faster system I will buy a faster CPU :D :D I never have believed in overclocking as I don't see any benefit in it as I am not a gamer, and the system is only used for surfing the web , doing websites and other noncholant chores.
Cutting a window this evening to fix what my friend bodged up when he cut the side panel blowholes a little too large :( :( Only going to be a small window so nothing to get excited over really.
