[RESOLVED] Intel SE440BX-2 motherboard

I have recently aquired a Intel SE440BX-2 motherboard and was wondering if an Athlon would run on it. I beleive them to both be slot1. Havent found any info yet on that. Thought I would try here first.

hi first no it won`t work,athon uses a proprietary slot it looks the same as slot 1 but don`t use the same connection ,beside the bx chipset is for intel chips and i doubt intel will put out a chipset for a amd product,cheer`s Claude
