I've followed the manual, re-checked jumper settings and when I boot up I get nothing, no beeps, no display. Any help would be appreciated.

Any help would be appreciated. BAD.IRON January 11th, 2000, 08:34 PM The first question that I have is your fan running in your power supply? If the fan is running check to make sure that the main otherboard power plugs have the blacks wire next to each other. If not you have just smoked your motherboard. If that is ok then remove and reseat your memory make sure that the voltage is set right for your memory usually 3.3 volts. If you have on board video try moving you memory to the other slots. Some on board video use your on board memory and needs to be in a particular slot to work. If you still don't have a boot pull all the cards but the video card and try for a boot. This should get you on the right track. When you are done doing the things I have mentioned, you can repost and give us some more information. There is some excellent help at this site. Good luck. twisted January 12th, 2000, 09:47 AM Thanks for the quick reply... Memory is ok, and I have no on board video. The MB, Fan, etc.. is all ok, system works when I configure it for a Pentium 100, then when I reconfigure it for the AMD K6 266MMX I get the blank screen, no bios beeps, etc.. Do I need to upgrade my bios, it's an Award 4.5.1PG? Change any settings in the bios? I saw no settings for voltage, etc. Thanks again BAD.IRON January 12th, 2000, 08:35 PM It seems to me that I had a problem with an AMD 233 or 266 about a year ago. I believe that I got it working by playing with the CPU voltage. I think that I had to drop the voltage a bit. twisted January 13th, 2000, 07:25 AM How do I tweek the CPU voltage if I just have jumper settings? Do I change the setting around? Put a volt meter somewhere, etc...? Thanks twisted January 16th, 2000, 09:08 PM excellent help huh.... where? windrivers.com
