[RESOLVED] mobo/memory/beeping sound

I have p3 450 ibm system, 100mhz fsb, is the motherboard supposed to accept only ibm type memory? when i put a module of a different brand (yes, it is the correct type of memory) i just hear short beeps and nothing happens. Is there a way to override this problem through the bios or anything?

Try to load BIOS Defaults and see what you have to see.
