First the question, then the details:
How high and what settings can I use to get highest performance out of my Celeron 500 Processor?

Now the details: I've got an Iwill VD133 Motherboard with the jumperless smartsettings and temperature control etc etc... (With the Via Apollo Pro chipset). I've got 128MB PC-100 SDRAM.
Someone have any suggestions and tips?
Thanx,

I just bought the Celeron 500 and an Asus P3B-F board yesterday. I was quickly able to jump the processer up stabley to 562Mhz at 7.5 x 75mhz @ 2.10 core voltage. Without overclocking the cpu is running at about 140*F idle, @ 562mhz it was about 165*F. I think it is getting too hot though under load. Im not sure what is too hot, and would like to find out myself. I set the cpu back to 500 until I know, better to be safe than sorry. If you find anything out let me know. Good Luck

Why did you increase the voltage to 2.10?
Wouldn't it boot a 2.0 volts
My Celeron 500s (both of them runs at 7.5*75 at 2 volts in my Asus P2B and P2B-F boards
If you haven't tried it Do so it'll obviously run cooler
Also Download waterfal123 it ruduces voltage when it's not needed my systems run as much as 15-20 degrees F cooler with it

7.5*75MHZ= 562.5 is about the Max for the Celeron 500. My P2-B and P2B-F both run fine at those settings 7.5 *83.3=624.7500 is just to much stress on the PCI bus and the AGP bus
You may be able to get it to boot at 83.3 if you set the AGP divider to 2/3 and try it but I wouldn't recommend it, you performace gain would probably be un-noticable due to underclocking the AGP
