Hello,
I have just upgraded and was pleased to find the Windows 2000 found my USB scanner and installed it. Unfortunately, a bug (that always existed) is still apparent. When scanning for the first time, the scanner needs to be power cycled before it will work after the computer has been started. Otherwise the scanning process locks up. The HP website has released updated drivers for W98 relating to USB lockup problems, but there are no NT4 (or W2K) drivers.
Does anyone have any ideas? (other than replacing the scanner). I bought the scanner and computer 12mths ago and don't really want to replace them.
Computer HP Pavilion 6306 (upgraded to 64Mb RAM)
Scanner HP ScanJet 4100C (USB model)
