[RESOLVED] USB keyboard/Mouse don't respond with athlon 700

I have a amd athlon 700mhz with a gibabyte 71x board, using Windows second edition. USB support is active. The board recognizes the USB root hub and identifys my film reader when installed. When I plug my USB mouse and keyboard in the machine locks up or won't boot. The PC will run with a PS2 keyboard and mouse.The patchs recommened by windrivers an microsoft were installed with no success!!!! Any help would be appreciated.

Crazy question, but did u plug in the USB device AFTER you booted up? My mouse would NOT install properly unless it was plugged in AFTER bootup. Also, make sure you are running Win95C or WIN98.
