[RESOLVED] intel 82371AB/EB controller for USB

I need some help with this, I am running windows 98 on a Shuttle HOT-569A mb. Bought a HP882C printer to use with the usb ports
and they dont seem to want to work together. In fact nothing seems to
want to work on the usb port, it always comes up with unknown device when I plug anything in to it. I've heard that this hardware version (001) has problems with win98. My question is: Is there a work around or a new driver for these ports?

All my USB devices work fine with win98.

When the USB device is plugged in for the first time, point windows to the driver disk/cd that is supplied with it. This will install the relevant drivers and from then on you can Plug N Pray all you like. Just remember like all normal devices , drivers are still needed for USB devices at first http://www.windrivers.com/cgi-bin/forum/smile.gif
