Adobe Acrobat insists on opening same file...

I've got a system running Acrobat 4.0 that insists on opening this one file even though it is deleted from the drive. It is still showing up in Acrobat's previously opened list. Anyone know of a way to zap it or is a uninstall/reinstall of it my only hope?
