Hey all, does anyonw know where I can either get a script or how to build a script for pcANYWHERE that will rotate through all hosts on my network for a specific amount of time. I wanted to use it as a toned down version of a security measure to keep people from goofing our machines quite so easily. Thanks for any and all help :)

Try contacting the maker of the software (Symantec isn't it?). See if they have anything like what you are looking for.

One thing I did was to scrap HackMeAnywhere and use a prog called VNC. It only alows connection when the user at the PC turns it on. Very nice, very small, pretty secure, easy to use. Otherwise try setting different passwords for the machines that only the system admin or other trusted members know and make the passwords difficult to hack with numbers, letters and other characters like !~@#.

We tested VNC also and I agree.

It's faster and cheaper - read FREE than PCAnywhere (90$CAN per seat for us!) and browser-enabled.

We eventually went with SMS 2.0 for a multitude of other reasons, but VNC is still in our virtual toolbox.

Thanks for the suggestions folks, but I have tried VNC already and it didn't do what I wanted. I don't want anyone to have the abality to turn it on or off, I want it on all the time. I also need to be able to view the connected computer's screens in real time. I have them set up as 1 machine watching 40 others. But keep the input comming, every little bit helps.
