my system is describe din subj.

it freezes on cold startup with while detonator drivers 6.xx or greater is installed.

with 5.xx - D3D mode lags as hell - looks like it uses pagefile for agp memory.
does anyone know how to solve that startup problem? or how to make D3D working fine..
i tried SP1, tried several 4-in-1 VIA packs...tried also Dx8.0... nothing helped

it freezes only during cold start. if press reset - it loads normally. 8(

Have you updated your motherboard's BIOS to the latest version? There's an 11/24/00 version for your motherboard at http://www.giga-byte.com/support/viakt133.htm#link7zx.

Could it be an incorrect Graphics Aperture setting in the BIOS? Most boards are set to 64MB by default, try another setting. http://forums.windrivers.com/cgi-bin/forum/smilies/cwm12.gif
