Oracle Backup

Ive got a Novell 5.0 server that has a oracle database on it and the coustmer wants to backup that data using backup exec. any suggestions on how to set that up

We have 3 Oracle databases that we backup using Arcserve 6.6 for Netware. You have to also purchase an additional component the "Oracle backup agent" for Arcserve. You have to run the database in archive log mode to be able to back it up. Sorry I don't know how to do this with Backup Exec, maybe there is a similar method. If not, if your customer doesnt mind paying the money the above method works very well.

Follow the above - you should not have problems - also you can schedule an export from oracle and backup the export - it is a little safer - if anything goes wrong, you can restore from the export.
