Our users cannot login to Novell Directory Services or as a Bindery connection from NT Workstations.
Symptoms:
Presented with the Novell login screen, and after entering details you get a Novell dialog box..."Tree or Server cannot be found...Do you want to Login into Windows NT"...
But when you click on the "Advanced" tab of the client and browse for NDS settings, they are all there and correct. When you try to log in again, it works...
This problem is affected on 25 other pcs..
Hope someone can help solve the mystery...

Depending on your client version, you can go into the client properties and change location profiles. Pick the default profile and make sure all the NDS information is correct in there. Sometimes when this information is blank or incorrect, the client will fail on first try (it usually returns an error about the context or the tree) and then connect on the second try.
Give that a try and let us know what happens. What client version are you using?

Year before last, we migrated from Win95 to NT4 WS and we had the exact same problem. If you use the Novell Client, instruct the users to wait until their HD's quiet down as all the services are still loading and the NIC is almost the last service loaded. Patience is the key, along with the suggestion of the other gent in your replies.
