[RESOLVED] Need Help

Have a novell 4.11 server that is running a program that has to be updated every month when we try to run the updates it says it has updated every thing but when the program is running at some point it will say close the program and run update cd.

The program is called Pathways its for an Autobody repair shop they run invoices and repair orders off of that program

Here's what I think. Its probably NOT your Netware server, but in the program itself. Does this program support Netware? And, secondly, are all users out of this program when the updates are ran? A good idea would be to reboot the server, to ensure that all network connections are dropped to the server.

At least make sure you have shutdown the program before you try to update it. Otherwise there will be some files in use that won't be able to be updated, and weird things may happen when you have half of one version and half of another.

ok all the users are off the server when the updates are ran.


Called the tech support people and they said that there was a corrupted file on the last update disk and that removing that file would fix the program locking up and other issues
