I have a novell box running netware 4.1 and groupwise 5.2. the problem is that when I try to load gwia it wont let me install it under nwadmin 32 or 95. it runs the setup fine before this and then the book says to got to nwadmin and create groupwise internet/gateway object and it jsut wont so me this object. Is there another way around it that is fairly easy or do i have to upgrade to gw5.5 . any info will help

Is your copy of NWAdmin32 stored in \\servername\sys\public\win32? Stay with NWAdmin32, don't bother with the 95 version.
You are logged in as supervisor or equivalent, aren't you?

Ok, I checked Novell's support knowledgebase and they say with GroupWise 5.2, you must use the NWadmn95 or NWadmnNT. The NWadmn32 version does not work with GW5.2, but it does with 5.5.
Try renaming any file on your workstation called nwadmin.ini (should be in your Windows directory) and then try reinstalling the snap-ins.

Don't call support, man! They keep you on the phone for hours!
I can't remember the TID number, but here is how you do it: Launch the GroupWise INSTALL.EXE from the GroupWise install CD, and when prompted for components to install, select only ADMIN, complete the install to the end. I have done this before, and it works. It will not overwrite any files.

You're most welcome! Thanks for the feedback and letting us know it worked.
FYI for those who don't know: the last time our networking consultant called Novell support, he was on hold for four hours. Novell has a DJ (I am not making this up!) who plays the hold music on their support lines, and you can email him requests. Once you DO get through they charge you through the nose if you don't have a support agreement with them.
