Is there anyway to get administrator rights to someone that doesnt have that is not legit? In other words, is there any way around certian things on just basic user priveleges?
thanks all,

Only the System Admin. can change the rights, Unless he has given a manager the extra rights.

Unless somebody has done something really dumb and setup something totally wrong, the answer is no. At least there are no ways around it that I am aware of, not without the actual supervisor knowing about it!
Novell 5 does have a feature that allows you to assign a user or users the rights to change others passwords and do basic tasks (like in a help desk environment) but not full supervisor/admin access. This lets the head guy do important stuff, like inspect the 18th green ;), while his minions handle the dumb users who can't remember what they changed their password to before the weekend.
