Okay here is a really wird one. We have stock brokers here and they use these flat screen monitors. They have the software to make them pivot, but when you log into the novell tree you loes this ablity. Log into just the domain and your fine. I have been to the website for the software and they have no patches to fix this problem. I have also sent them emails asking for assistance but all they want me to do is buy the new version. So I thought I would bounce it off you guys and see what you think.
Thanks

More problems, I reloaded the pivot software and when it went to start up caused windwos 2000 to blue screen. I uninstalled the software and I am offical po'ed. It means this software was only designed for home use or on a MS backbone, which does me no use because our traders all want the ablity to routate there screens. They don't really need it but because it is there, they want it. If any one knoows any pivot software that works with Novel please post.

Well you got me there is it compatable with the network (novell) but if you have it on a W2k machine than it has nothing to do with the network. Think I got lost somewhere!
Is the software loaded in the server or on the indivual workstations? that have Flat screens? I think thats it???
Sorry not much help! I never worked with that software before! most of the time I just install the network or do the upgrade and turn it over to the sys. admin. or setup there GroupWise and I'm out of there.
Try novell.com/coolsulations/ or novell.com/downloads/ or the Mfg. of the software for an up grade.

There are two things I can think of. The first is the Novell Client software needs to be updated. You can download the newest version here. (http://support.novell.com/redir/localwww/download/#Clients) Make sure the Novell servers have all the latest service packs applied before you roll out a new Client version, or you may have more problems than you did before!
The second is that there may be a desktop policy being deployed over the network (ZENworks), and the display settings being forced over the network don't agree with the Pivot driver. Disable all policies associated with those users/user groups and see if that fixes the problem. You may also have to use the Windows policy editor to completely remove the policy settings previously enabled on the workstations.
If neither of those things work, then get the stock brokers to cough up the money for the updated Pivot drivers ;)

Thanks Guy's, I have tried those solutions already. Right now I am working with our guys in NC to see what they use. They have these sweet tri-plane flat screen rotation monitors. I am going to load there sofware and see if it works. Yet again, thanks for your help
