I'm new to novell I need to ad a client to novell 4.11 on the server so he can log on form a workstation I need help don't where to start

Also make sure the workstation you are trying to connect is actually connected to the network. Then download the right client software from Novell. Don't worry, it's free. Go to www.novell.com/download (http://www.novell.com/download) and get the right version of the client software that you need. There are different versions of the client for DOS/Win3.1, Win9x/ME, and WinNT/2K. Once you install the client, reboot and you should get a logon dialog box before Windows loads. When this box appears, hit the advanced button to specify the name of the server you want to login to. Then enter the user name and password and you should be logged in and ready to go. Nailz May 9th, 2001, 11:36 AM I think the obvious is missing. Is this 4.x server setup as bindery or NDS? Have you setup an NDS Tree (if NDS) where you would setup containers and user objects or (if Bindery) a user account on the server? On the client side, once you know your setup (NDS or Bindery) you can enter the NDS Tree and Context along with the username/password to login with. windrivers.com
