I have Novell/Groupwise 5 on my computer at work and the other day, I deleted a program that had nothing to do with Novell (I thought) and when I restarted my computer, it said I was missing a .dll file when the box for my password was supposed to come up. Then if I said "OK", I went to my desktop and none of my icons would load and it said couldn't find MSVCRT.DLL or NWADMIN32 file and then gave me an Explorer error message and that is as far as my computer would go. SO... then I used my startup disk and copied the start up files to my hard drive from my disk and now my computer starts to load and stops at a C:\. Help me please!!

Thank you! null

well - you haven't said what O/S you got..

if you use Win98 you can use SFC.exe to restore MSVCIRT.dll (MicroSoft Virtual C Run-Time Library... :) )

Nwadmin will not run without it

or you can get it Here (http://topfile.com/dll/M/) and copy it to C:\windows\system and C:\Windows.

Good luck

Finding the DLL file that's missing is easy. Now you have a bigger problem: you've copied the files from your startup disk to your root directory of C, am I correct? I am not clear on why would want to do this.

Now Windows is not booting automatically on your computer, (but You can start windows after you see the DOS prompt by typing WIN)

But if this is indeed the case then you will have to do some work to fix things. If you are running Windows 98 and you can use System File Checker (Start, Run, SFC) then that would be ther first thing I would do.

If you need more help, I can go into more detail. Just ask here. thx

not so much novell :) but the best solution is to get MSdos.sys from another computer WITH THE SAME OS !!!

copy it to C:\ and windows will work again .

good Luck..

Have you tried www.topfile.com/ (http://www.topfile.com/) They have all the .dll files for download, that is if you cant find the proper disk.
