I'm having a strange problem installing a memory upgrade in a ThinkPad 755CV. When I install the 32MB Memory card (looks kinda like a PCMCIA card) They system stops at a blinking cursor. The HDD dosen't even spin up.
I've tryed turning of Parity checking. but that just gives me error "201" (parity error) They strange thing is, It will run with this error, and in the BIOS it reports finding 40 MB RAM (8MB built it) but only has 8 usable MB's, I have tryed several 32MB cards a 16MB card and a 8 MB card, all salvaged from ThinkPad 750c's, I suppose the memory should be compatible. Thanks for your time

I maybe wrong here, but I think that the pc memory card was really meant to be used like a small hard drive. They didn't increase the size of you memory.

THis isn't that kind of card, its called an ICDRAM, I think it is something IBM made to make upgrades to there laptops easer. It won't actually fit in a PCMCIA slot.
