I know I'm not the only one who is neurotic about useless files living on your HD...

Just for the heck of it, and since I don't use the "Tour" that MS packaged with ME, I've deleted all the associated .wav files for the tutorials. 220MB!! [I'm starting there for safety reasons, guessing it can't hurt anything...three days now, and all is well.] Just make sure you're canning only the tutorial .wav's

I know with huge HD's it doesn't matter much, but it makes me happy!

Wasn't there another thread somewhere about "bloatware?" LOL

How can you delete the tour! It is so helpful. It shows how a kid pounding on the keyboard (deleting files) can be fixed by using system restore (which works perfectly in the example).

I think I shall be deleting that as well. Kinda stupid to have it around.

Please ICQ or e-mail the location to me.

I'm doing this on the run...so hope you'll see the reply here. Just do a file search for *.wav files. You'll see a ton of them associated to the ME tour. If in doubt about any of them, you can open media player and check them before you delete, but it should be pretty evident which ones you can tank.

Hope this helps.
