Re eek virus

Hi, I selected the repair option in Norton Anti-virus to clear an infected floppy disk, however the computer now cannot read the floppy disk, puts up message, disk not formatted. Is there any way of reading this disk or is it history?

Sorry, the virus in question was the Eek (b) virus.
