how do i fax a bootable cd via network
connection? encryption? protocols?
hardware and microsoft only software?

I've used winfax to do that in the past.

I would guess that you could UUENCODE the binaries, that would change them into printable characters your printer could understand. Print them out, fax them (a long, long time), scan the recieved faxes using OCR (optical character recognition), then UUDECODE back to the original binaries. That's the easiest way I could think of. Personally I would just copy the cd and mail it, or drive it over. I think it would get there faster than the faxing method.
