Hi,
In Win98, how do I check my network settings? I am on cable modem and for my NIC card TCP/IP, its on “obtain IP automatically”. So I don’t know my IP. I want to know all of it; my IP, subnet mask, DNS host and domain, Gateway, etc.

I know somewhere in the “C:\WINDOWS” dir, there is a program or a doc that tells you this. Does anyone know? I’m sure most of you guys know, I just cant believe I cant find it.

Thanks for you help and again, it’s for Windows 98 SE.

Hi,

Start button, run, type winipcfg and click OK
Then choose your NIC and select more info

That should do the trick.

Even better is go to the ms-dos prompt and type ipconfig /all.
