We have 2 IBM 1200 iSeries laptops. I work for a large company. We got the laptops in preconfigured with 98 and 95, but my boss wants 95 on the other one. I user Norton Ghost to image the hard drive for the 95 machine on the one laptop. Now the problem is getting the image on the other laptop. My boss forgot to order floppy drives with the laptops!!!! Well my question is do you know how to make a bootable cd. There is an option in the BIOS to make the CDROM drive bootable. I turned that feature on. Please let me know what I have to do!.

it depends on what type of burner software you are using. in Adaptec cd creator you select ISO 9660 for the file type in cd layout properties.

This is for Easy CD Creator version 3.xxx.
Version 4 and newer have a different way.
You go to "New" and you choose "Bootable CD" from the drop-menu. Then it asks you to insert the bootable diskette.

Nero is basically the same, you make a boot diskette, then choose bootable cd from the menu.
Make sure you remember to load cd drivers in the autoexec on your cd or you'll boot up and have no access to the cd-rom!..I usually just make a 98SE boot disk and use it for making my bootable cd.

WHERE DO YOU WANT TO GO TODAY?......Not that it matters, because Microsoft will crash on the way there!!!

If the bootable cd doesn't work, and if the laptops have ethernet cards, you could do a network boot! (pain in the rear, but it would work)
