I did a search for this and came up with nothing so I'm hoping someone can help me. Couldn't find anything in Microsoft's knowledge base about it. The problem is right before the guy logs into the network at the login screen he gets an error that msdtcw has caused an invalid page fault at module <unknown>. I'm thinking it's some sort of network error but have no idea where else to proceed. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the card, downloaded new drivers, etc. to no avail. It is a linksys lne100tx card on a win98se machine. I'd appreciate any help. Thanks again.

Try switching to a different brand to see if the problem goes away. Or at least remove the card (physically) from the system and then restart. You won't be able to log on, but then the driver won't be loaded either. Also run Msconfig and start the computer with the minimum settings. it may not be a driver problem, it may be some other program.
